Westlinghouse Transformer Rectifier Unit Type 37 & 37A

The TRU-28 is a transformer rectifier unit designed for aircraft applications. It produces a regulated 28V DC output.

There are two versions of the TRU available: 37 & 37A

Type 37A

Continuous Current: 200A

Intermittent Current: 1500A

DC Voltage (Adjustable): 23-30V DC

Type 37

Continuous Current: 200A

Intermittent Current: 750A

DC Voltage (Adjustable): 23-30V DC

It is not recommended to do an aircraft start with these machines.
